THEME VERSE“Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” 1 Timothy 2:6 KJV |
The currency of a country is the tool used for exchange; it is used to acquire that which we desire. Before the manifestation of Jesus Christ in the earth, Man was doomed to die because of his inability to meet God’s standard of perfection.
Man to be Bought (Redeemed)
Man needed to be redeemed from the pangs of death. “I will deliver this people from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction? “I will have no compassion, Hosea 13:14 (NIV)
Price to be Paid
A price was to be paid for that redemption. Man couldn’t be redeemed by money for he is much more valuable than money. In fact, Man couldn’t be redeemed by anything but one. What then could be enough to redeem or purchase Man from death?
Yes, I agree through Jesus Christ we have salvation, we are made holy, we can pray to the Father, we become sons of God. But the question remains how? What did Jesus Christ pay to redeem us from the hand of death?
The Price
Man was doomed for death, so for Man to live, a life had to be lost; a life for a life. Jesus Christ paid for our redemption with His life.
“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28 (NKJV). This is the most extreme exchange ever!
Why His Life?
Why was it so imperative for Jesus Christ to give His life for us? First, that’s what we are worth to the Father. You can only pay as much for that which you desire to buy. In other words, the value you place on something determines the price you pay for that article. Secondly, only his life could give us that which the Father wanted to give us-The Life of God.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 (NIV)
The Life of God
The term life is from the Greek word zōē which is the Life of God or the God-Life. That’s why we have eternal life for we have the same life our Father has. Everything you’re expected to do, the lifestyle you’re to live, everything takes root and blossoms from and in this Life.
The Relevance of the Life of God
The God-life is the heart of the message of the Kingdom. The following verse is the statement made by angels to the Apostles when they were arrested for preaching in the name of Jesus Christ.
“Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.” Acts 5:20 (KJV)
The word life is the same zōē which is the God-Life. therefore, the angel was telling Peter and the others to go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of the God-Life.
The manifestation of the Life of God
The God-life is that which animates all sons of God. This Life is enshrined in our spirit, harnessed in our mind transforming our thought-life and pattern from human to God’s (spirit) and made flesh through our words, actions and lifestyle.

An excellent portrayal of God’s incredible love for us. Another reason Jesus was the only sacrifice was because inorder to cleanse sin, God demanded a spotless lamb…one who had no sim…only that kind of sacrifice could buy us back from death into life.
The lamb if God who takes away the sins of the world.. Thanks so much for your articles, just amazing.
