Theme Verse “…Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) |
We are all aware and know the creation story by heart – the story of the human life and existence.
The Created Man
God formed man from the earth and breathe into his nostrils the breath of life and Man became a living soul. Conversely, very few Christians are aware or have the slightest knowledge of the recreation of Man.
That by the way is the reason we are born-again because in Christ, we are a new kind (type) of Man.
In Jesus’ dialogue with Nicodemus about being born-again, Jesus clearly made the difference:
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6
As humans, we are very limited and are a very easy prey to the devil and his arsenal of demons. The devil knows the human life all too well even more than we do.
The Recreated Man
the recreation of Man was an essential and very important step in the plan of the Father. The reasons for this is a subject of another article. The recreation of Man is scriptural though very sublime. In Ephesians 2:10 KJV it s written “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
The greek word for the word created in the above verse is the word Kid’-zo meaning to create; a. of God creating the worlds, and b. to form, shape, that is to completely change or transform. The King James’ rendering therefore is limited.
The Amplified Bible however gets it right and reads; “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” Ephesians 2:10 – Amplified Bible Classic
The first Adam is the source and sustainer of the “first kind of Man” – the living soul. It was for this reason that Jesus Christ came as the second Adam, to be the source and sustainer of the new creation; the new kind of Man – life-giving spirit.
The following quote from Paul spells it out succintly drawn from the Message bible;
“We follow this sequence in Scripture: The First Adam received life, the Last Adam is a life-giving Spirit. Physical life comes first, then spiritual-a firm base shaped from the earth, a final completion coming out of heaven. The First Man was made out of earth, and people since then are earthy; the Second Man was made out of heaven, and people now can be heavenly. In the same way that we’ve worked from our earthy origins, let’s embrace our heavenly ends.” 1 Corinthians 15:45 (Massage Bible)
Until we have the knowledge of the recreation story, we can only live the human life. The recreated Life is accessed in Christ Jesus and is manifested by walking in the light of the Word of God daily. 'Click To TweetThe Challenge
This scripture is calling on us to embrace our heavenly nature. In the mind of God, we have ceased being human beings; we are dead. He has birthed us a new kind of Man, born of Him (sons of God) and equal with Him (John 5:18 KJV).
The call therefore is for us to become like Him (Ephesians 4:13) so as to experience the life of glory and virtue he has called us to.
PRAYERThank you Father for the power and ability to become Your Son by Your Life which you gave me through Your Son Jesus Christ. Thank for the revelation of my new nature in You through Christ Jesus. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I have Eternal Life and am living the God-kind of Life; the good life through Your Word. Amen. |
