“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen” Romans 11:36 (KJV)
Of Him:
We must understand our origins; where we hail from. As a popular saying goes, “If you don’t know where you come from, you can’t know where you’re going to” how true! Most sons of God still consider themselves as human beings or improved versions of human beings in Christ. It’s far more reaching than that, Christ Jesus is very explicit on our origin and nature when He says “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6 (KJV). We are not flesh but spirit. We are of Him, we hail from Him, we are Life-giving spirits as relayed by Apostle Paul;
“And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.” 1 Corinthians 15:45-49 (NKJV)
Through Him:
Everything that is done in heaven and under the heavens is done by something. In heaven, everything that is done is by The Word of God. However, the story changes when we enter the earthly realm; everything that is done is based on human or earthly wisdom, knowledge and experiences which always fail. Apostle Paul puts it this way, “Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought (fails)…” 1 Corinthians 2:6 (KJV).
What knowledge drives your personal life, business or career? Is it knowledge from your environment? Personal experiences in life? Or the knowledge we get from your fancy schools? Every information which is not from Him ultimately comes to flop overtime.
Through what then should you operate? Our theme verse is emphatic about this: everything should be done through Him (the Word) because, in Him (the Word), everything is held together and doesn’t fail (Colossians 1:17). Remember, the WORD is a person!
The Word is our Father’s source-information in saying and doing everything He does. If you desire to fulfill God’s dream for you, then practicing The Word in everything you do is the way forward. It’s our “meal ticket” to the Glorious and Prosperous Life. For the hope of all our glory is trapped in Him. Colossians 1:27 (KJV)
To Whom:
Everything is done for someone or something. Globally, we have a very high tendency to do everything for ourselves. This tendency rests essentially on the silent but basic fact that human Man (as in the totality of both males and females) is essentially selfish or if you prefer, self-seeking or self-centered.
Why do you do what we do? To whom does your “big” dreams intend to satisfy? Do you do what you do to enjoy a fancy life, a good house, luxurious cars, and the latest high-end gadgets? Though these are not inherently bad and are desirable, however, our perspective is the utmost. Everything you do should be geared at furthering the Kingdom of God on earth, for this is our Father’s dream for the earth.
Humans live for themselves, but not we the sons of God. We are birthed for a higher ideal greater than ourselves; we’re born to radiate our Father’s wisdom through our businesses, careers, and personal lives. We are of Him, we ought to function through Him and do everything we do for Him.
