“With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd.” Psalms 18:25-26 (NKJV) |
Our Father is merciful it’s true but above all, He knows us more than we know ourselves. His judgment is righteous for He judges from the inside—our motives.
I cannot count the number of times I have pondered at the fate of so many Christians; financial difficulties and struggling to get by in life. Most of which are good Christians and even Pastors and Leaders.
I used to ask myself why? This question without knowing was lending to the fact that our Father is not just. Only to get to know these people better and come to find out that they are the fundamental problem to their situation.
Our Heavenly Father’s response to us depends on how and most especially the motive and mindset we approach Him. To the merciful He shows Himself merciful; to those who are blameless He shows Himself blameless; with the pure, He shows Himself pure.
However, with the devious, He doesn’t show Himself devious for He can’t be devious. With these, He shows Himself shrewd (to be twisted). The devious can’t comprehend His way, therefore linger in error and darkness. Hence, continue to be victims of their very deviousness.
Our Father knows us. He created us; He sees our hearts and discerns our motives. In seeking Him, we must be true. He’s not far, neither is He hidden. He says, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 (ESV).

We can’t hide from Him, neither can we dupe Him for again, scripture says “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.” Galatians 6:7 (ESV)
Let’s be true and open to Him. He loves us more than we can imagine but He would never allow Himself to be taken for a fool’s ride. He needs us to be sincere. Then and only then, will we find Him, rejoice in His light and become that which we have always wanted to be.
A Prayer from Me with You “Forgive me Father for being devious; for seeking only my interest. Father, I don’t know how to be sincere, forgive my unbelieve. All I know is the fact that I need the Truth; I need you. Father teach me to be true and reveal your Light to me so I might practice it to further the Kingdom and for your glory. So I can be the son or daughter you’ve predestined me to be. Thank you for your Love and mercy. Amen.” |
